Turns out the url for my old blog was spelled wrong (thanks paul), so I decided to start a new one. Good job Erin.
This week was my first week flying solo every afternoon, and I gotta say, it went better than I thought it would. Probably helped that one girl was on vacation all week...we'll see how it goes with a full room. But last week was also a 4 day week, and I think it threw some of the kids off.
We played with bubbles, did some finger paintings (they barely tried to eat it!), played outside, read books, played with sand, played with tissue paper...that kept them entertained for a LONG time, definitely getting that out again.
This weekend we chilled on base. Friday night we decorated our apartment for Halloween and watched tv. Saturday we had a lazy day, but we also cleaned, did laundry, the dishes, and went grocery shopping. Then Saturday night we went to Yana's house for a BBQ...and when people start drinking at 5, the party doesn't go too late! I was back home by 8 to watch the Husker game online with Paul...and even though we lost, it was still worth the $8.51 it cost to have internet in our room for 24 hours. Stupidly though, I bought it before we left, so we lost it today at 4:30, and are back to sitting outside the library. Today neither of us felt good, we both have colds/the flu, so we had another day of rest until it was time to walk down for internet at 5.
It is about 46 degrees outside, and my fingers are numb, so that's gonna be it for now! Stay tuned, something exciting has to happen sooner or later.
